About Nutmeg Home
Nutmeg Home
Nutmeg Home first opened in Goondiwindi in October 2006 in a large store in McLean St. The primary focus of the business was to bring city brands to the country, as well as being a home shop rather than just another gift shop.
After 12 months of trading Nutmeg Home joined forces with another local homewares business, Three Wishes. This meant relocating to the Three Wishes store in the Olympia Arcade in the main street of Goondiwindi. The merge also included the popular Wish Café, so the two businesses ran side by side, keeping both owners very busy!
In 2008 an opportunity arose to relocate to a brand new store in the middle of Marshall Street, the main street of Goondiwindi. On the 1st of November 2008 Nutmeg Home opened its doors in its current location in the heart of Goondiwindi, with its homewares shop at the front and café area through the back.
The café area and adjoining plant nursery are now operated by local couple John & Julianne McDonald to give Nutmeg Home owner Vanessa Corish more time to concentrate solely on sourcing the unique homewares that fill the front of Nutmeg Home’s store.
